I believe they are more of an European hotel chain. We have stayed at www.ibis.com while we were in London, Paris, Madrid, and Barcelona.

If you're looking for a cheaper, yet comfortable place to stay, then I highly recommend their Budget hotels. I believe they have the Budget, the regular and the Business hotels. Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, the Paris Ibis was our favorite, as they provided free croissants at the reception, every single day!

Which Ibis hotel did you stay in in Paris? It appears that there are several. Thanks for your help!

We would welcome any other hotel suggestions for Paris.

I can't remember where we've stayed but it wasn't in an Ibis hotel . I'm not familiar with that chain though that sounds like a good stay. We've had really good luck using airbnb.com.all over Europe. There really isn't any bad area to stay in Paris, my favorite would probably be in St. Germain, the 6th arrondissement. I think it's very central.
