Not an early departee, but we're staying on the ship for a while. We leave home on October 14 for Hong Kong and get on the ship on the 17th. Our tickets may have required some special handling since we're getting off the ship in Sydney and then back on in Auckland to sail to LA.

I'm excited--can't wait to see everyone. Also, we'll hopefully be seeing some of our Aussie friends during the two weeks we spend knocking around Australia. We'll be in Sydney a few days before we fly to Cairns and will spend the rest of the time there and in Port Douglas before we fly to Auckland to get back on the ship. We love Australia!!!

Well, our passports came back today with our China Visas. I always get concerned when our passports are out of our control. But no more worries. $400 poorer for the stamp & approval, but what the hey! We're going to China!!!! Cannot wait!!! Dragon here we come!

Peggy: We plan a few days in Beijing before Hong Kong. Then a couple of days in HK & then on the ship. Until we get off the ship with you!
Needed the visas to get to Beijing. Took a wee bit less than 2 weeks to get them. Very easy, but $400????? a wee bit high, I think.
Best to Jerry........ Doug

I can't believe how quickly our Chinese VISA's came. Quick service at a high price, just like the rest of you have experienced.
Grant, what color Crocs will you be wearing? Want to make sure that I recognize you?
We're boarding on Wednesday. Will keep the ship geared up for the DRAGON arrivals.

Grant those are great. Now I'll recognize you. Alan and I will be the ones with the orange Panasonic camera that matches your shoes.

My docs came today, too. The only mystery is the cabin number, when you are on a Guarantee! Just have to wait, that is part of getting a good price.

Sounds like a fun group of cruisers on Dragon. I can't wait for the sea mail.
