Someone asked me to join a team for trivia and stay with that team every day.
I always enjoy the social aspect of trivia and enjoy playing on different teams with different people. For me it is not about winning but about the fun of playing.
However, I am not sure how many trivia players we have on this cruise. All the "usual suspects" are not aboard. Who out there plays trivia??

I never miss trivia! It is a big committment to be there each day since the team depends on you. Tom doesn't want to commit so don't count on him.

I am also a trivia player from way back,not Ray. How many are there on a team?I enjoy the comaderly interaction and fun.(also like to mislead apposing teams,hehehe). What do you call a group of lobsters? ;)

6 players per team, right after tea time and just before Bingo (if Bingo is played that day).

Poker - does he know they now hold tournaments in the casino on a computer now.
I have to admit I am more of a POOCH player now. I can play poker on line but I cant play POOCH. Besides Ken will play POOCH with me no way to get him to pay poker. He just does not like gambling in any form.
I will teach POOCH to all who want to learn. We have "pins" for POOCH players now.

Me too, I would love to play pooch :app: .We also do not gamble...weeeellll maybe on the market.
Is anyone doing the Cordon Bleu? I'm wait-listed.Really enjoyed it on my first RSSC cruise.Sure hope they do a second class :angel2:

Ralph, Tom and I will be more than happy to play Texas Hold'em with Mark ! Hoping there are poker chips on board like on the Voyager so we can play in the afternoons in La Veranda. Also, we play in the tournaments in the casino.

Oh Yes, Texas Hold'em in the afternoon. Love those sea days. Too bad the ship does not provide a dealer in the afternoon. Also need that late afternoon nap so I can stay awake for the late night tourney in the casino. Too much fun.

Okay I am going to be playing with all the LCT group now. We will just form teams with whoever shows up. It is fun to play with different people each day I enjoy the interaction with everyone and then there is no need to feel you "have" turn up.

Arlene I will teach Debbie how to play POOCH before I leave. Then you can play on PEARL. The PG trip is SO FULL of activity the odds are that you wont have the time. It is a perfect activity for a sea day.

You are welcome to play pooch. Takes about 3 minutes to learn the basics, one game and you are set. Minimum of 3 to a team maximum of 7 to a team.
Trivia, we all just show up and form teams. Ken and I always will move around, divide up,start another team or just sit out if one gets full. We get to cruise more so it is not big deal to us at all. Trivia is six to team.

I couldn't find Marc's instructions for Pooch, which I remember were complicated. We remember how to play, but not the scoring. Did his post include that? Or should we get a copy of your spreadsheet, Ngaire?

Do not read those instructions they sound too complicated. I can send you a scoring sheet.
It is pretty easy really.

Ngaire: I was a complete failure at learning how to play Pooch! Perhaps it was because apart from Happy Families and Snap, my exposure to cards is non-existent. If there are any written rules on how to play, I would love to swat up for my next cruise with the fabulous LCTers! Lee

The rules would just completely confuse you LEE. I read the ones Marc posted from the internet so hard to follow. Just WATCH and that would be the best way to learn.
