Happy birthday, shy girl and guy. Wishing you many more to come and hope we can share one with you some cruise in the future. Two mothers are always better than one! But I was there first (or second, I guess, after Sally).

I do not like foxes, That one is as evil as the ones on my property. But thanks, Ken, for posting.

We are at at the end of B2B, after so long in anticipation of this cruise. Just came up from the last gathering in Horizons Lounge. Hard to say goodbye to so many wonderful people! Luggage is out and it is time for bed!

Congratulations to Joanna and Mark. Gosh, Ngaire and Ken, how are you going to keep on having so much fun in 3 weeks on Caviar!!! Can you top this fun. It sounds like an incredible time. Doug and I said it reminds us of the first time we all got together on VOF as it also includes many of the same ports and some of the same great people. Looking at Stromboli, I even fondly remember the towel pashminas...happy birthday to you all as well.

Well, the last two days have been just wonderful. Sorrento is one of our favorites and although I wasn't that impressed with the tour that we took, it was fun to be there again. Yesterday in Rome, we had two vans for a private tour and it was a great day. One of the highlights was while at the Pantheon, inside there is an opening at the top, which I'm sure many of you know, but I didn't, and it rained and the rain comes right thru the opening onto the floor, it was amazing. Joanna and Tony took us to their little secret place for lunch, where they had eaten several times with Tom and Marcie last year and we had a fun lunch. Then of course finding the cover on the bed when we returned, although we had actually done most of our packing the day before, still it brought home the reality.

Had a last dinner with Tom/Mona and Marc/Arlene and shared lots of laughs. THen everyone went to finish packing and then we met up in HL for a few last drinks and conversation. Finally off to bed, and here we are this morning waiting to disembark.

This has been such a fun cruise with great people, lots of good food, pooch, trivia and laughs.

But all of of us aren't yet on the way home, Carolyn! This is just one more post-B2B cruise from those of us left! Marc and I and Arlene planned months ago to spend our post cruise at a small hotel in Nice at a great price. Tonight, we were rewarded with the bounty of our travel-mates, Tom and Mona, staying at the Meridien! They invited us for drinks at their hotel, because they had a balcony. OMG!!!!! They had a huge terrace overlooking the sea over Nice! It was so beautiful, 8 floors up, and wrap-around corner suite! HUGE balcony, and Mona and Tom brought the champagne from the ship, and 2 bottles of wine they bought at a wine tasting, and vined tomatoes with olive oil and herb We trotted off to dinner at some place that could seat all of of outside and had a great time! I didn't have a camera, but I will tell you there were lots of pictures. Debbie's Russ has to come to the fore here, and be like Ken and post.

Earlier in the day, I was with my Joanna and Mark, great early lunch before they had to leave for the airport. I'm headed that way in a few hours! What a great ride this was!

We arrived home around 1 AM this morning - 3 flights to get home vs two going over. We used Regent air and we made all connections including a tight one in Amsterdam. I am 25% unpacked and Tony waiting for one piece of luggage which never left Nice. NW has called and tracked it and should be delivered tonight. We are very tired tonight.

I think this was our last port intensive cruise. (editing due to our age) We LOVED this trip but missed sea days. Comparing B2B and Lamb you can't help but realize how relaxed you are due to sea days. Also, we missed enjoying a pre and post day, our fault. Ngaire had a great group onboard and we enjoyed our old LCT friends and meeting new people. We have loved every Greece and Italy trip but think we are ready for new ports. The ports were wonderful and Venice, for me, was the highlight. JoAnn planned an off the beaten track canal trip that was A plus. There were 8 of us in private boat a wonderful morning. We had private van for 7 for all day Rome trip. We used Claudio's service and had driver named Luigi - outstanding! He took us within a block of every site. I can never get enough of Rome. I think this was our 3rd or 4th trip to Taormina and first time to cab to top of town to quaint village, Castelmola. Don't miss it - I am forgetting things as I am tired just hitting high points. You'd think I'd know this by now but getting private driver or grabbing cab the way to go - cheaper and so much fun. More to tell you about ports but later (all good)

I love the Voyager and the crew is wonderful. By the way, the shampoo/conditioner was just fine. Negatives: NO TAB for last 4 days of cruise (my addiction and I had requested it ) - small kids at pool second week having tantrums, large group on first week so pool bar was 3-4 people deep in late afternoon and I felt sorry for staff - problem in Venice with Regent transfers but I let Marc L and Tony handle that one - bottom line great trip -

Well after finally just collapsing into bed and getting a good nights sleep, a hot shower this morning and coffee, I think I'm going to live!!!

Long long day yesterday traveling, and the Frankfurt airport is a nightmare - but we actually finally found our concourse, the Red Carpet Lounge and eventually our flight, even though we had been given the wrong gate number and almost boarded the wrong flihg, thanks to the alertness of the gate agent he directed us across to the other gate where our flight was.

Our evening in Monte Carlo was lonely, and I was crabby anyway, and Frank decided he wanted us to walk down to some restaurants he saw along the marina, however, he didn't tell me it was approximately two miles, and we had to walk thru the tunnel, scary, then it turned out those places were not restaurants, but snack bars, on and on and by the time we ate and got back to the hotel I was really crabby and just went to bed!!! I'm so envious of the rest of you and your fun sounding evening. The Fairmont is a lovely hotel, and we did get an upgrade to a Jr suite, but we still had to wait until almost 1:00 for our room. I wish we had just stayed at the hotel and eaten at their very lovely rooftop restaurant, but hey thats life.

B2B was just one of the best cruises, not that they all haven't been, :) but this on had its own special uniqueness, as they all do and we enjoyed every single active minute of it. Tough with no sea days though thats for sure. Loved playing pooch, the OL evening cocktail get togethers, meeting new LCT'ers, spending time with those we knew, sharing in Mark and Joanna's engagement, all the birthdays and special occasions.

Now of course its back to reality!! Off to the dentist this morning, picking up Shelby, getting the garden back in shape, catching up on bills, (and unfortunately they did come in), unpacking and doing the laundry, getting food in the house, and on and on and on.

I have no clue how to post pictures so will let everyone elses pictures tell the story.

We are in Paris CDG typing on a french keyboard on a Mac. We had a wonderful stay in Nice and Monaco. Trains were on strike yesterday so we took the bus for 1 Euro. We are hoping to get on an earlier flight which will get us 4pm instead of 830pm. More from home when I can get on a real computer. How can anyone work on a computer without a backslash?

There is a backslash on the French keyboard...I always have to hunt to remember how to get it. It is a three key combo as I recall.
the @ was another fun one to find!

Ah! The French!

Thank you, Tom! Everyone always wants "people pictures", and you have fit the bill! Ah, that terrace at the Meridien is as nice as I remember!
The one of you and Joanna Mondae is one of my favorites, with the flower over her ear! Of course, my very own Joanna and Mark ranks up there, too!

And the shot of Tony in the laundry room was priceless!
