Welcome Steven and Linda. Thanks for introducing yourselves. BTW, I call my dog, Gizmo, Circle Boy. He gets so excited when we take him for a walk that he circles and we can barely get a leash on him. I guess like us - we get so excited to cruise and travel.

Hello All

Since I have already posted, I figured I better introduce myself before I post anymore. My screen name is silvernt. My name is Nonie (nickname for Naomi) and we live in Northern Virginia. Mike (my husband) and I were anti-cruise, unitl I learned about the Paul Gaughin's limited guest list. We just returned from the PG 1 Oct cruise and am working on my trip report. Is there a limited character amount when posting? It is getting rather long, but I want to be sure to include everything for any other potential newbies.

We have two labs (Ranger and Gunner) and two rabbits (Roxie and RJ).

Hopefully the trip report will be ready soon.

Labs and Rabbits? I assume they're kept separate?

Hi Nonie. I was also anti-cruise, until I found the now-departed Song of Flower with its also limited numbers. Since Song left the fleet, I've eased into the larger ships of RSSC, and found much to love about them as well. I'm also a NoVa resident, so I guess we're neighbors.
Welcome to LCT.

Hi. I have spent the past months vicariously watching all of you having such fun on this board. Once I saw the thread with Dr. Cruiselove, I knew I had to get in on the action.

My sister and I will be taking our first Radisson cruise to the Baltics July 2006. When I booked, I had not yet found this site, much less Ngaire and Linda. But now I am set, and plan to book a 2007 Alaska cruise while on the 2006 trip.

I want to thank you all for all of the information which you have unknowingly passed my way. And I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can on or off the ship. I am especially keen on this site, as my sister and I are single travelers, who need a bit of nudging! When I saw the recent pictures of Karen, Marcie and Joanna dancing the night away, I knew I was in the right place.

Hi Diane, So glad you found us and decided to post. A few of us cruised the Baltic on the Voyager this past summer. Maybe we can answer some of your questions.

Thanks to all for the welcomes.

Marcie--Congratulations. Spoil, spoil, spoil.
I am dying to go on MUSH, but as a single mom of a 13-year-old (do boys ever do their homework?), I usually travel when he is at camp, etc. When he is in college in a few years, though, I intend to cruise at whim.

Hello to all,

I stumbled across this site a couple of days ago and think I have found a new home. I have been an active poster on Cruise Critic for several years but LCT may become my new home.

A brief history, the wife and I are in our late 40's and love to cruise, so do my kids. The wife is in sales, she makes all the money, and I'm a police officer. I make not make all the money but I have plenty of time off.

We have taken six Princess Cruises and due to a decline in their service have decided to cruise elsewhere. We came across a great deal on Silversea and took our first crusie with them a couple of weeks ago. Well, we are hooked on Silversea and will have a hard time going on Holland America next year.I take my son on a cruise for his spring break every year.

I met Kristin, aka AZGKRUDI, on our cruise and read her review of the Silver Whisper.I agree 100 percent with her review. I have held a December 2006 Silversea cruise but we are also thinking about RSSC.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.........Joe

Marcie,

Thanks and soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will have to show you our two dobermans. They are the biggest babies in the world.

Joe:

Had to laugh about your dobermans being big babies. A customer of mine has a doberman and we think of that couple as a poodle owners rather than a doberman.

Anyway, some Amish were making custom kitchen cabinets in his home when ol Brandy took off. When one of the Amish heard of the owners plight he told him not to worry he would fetch him. Sure enough a short time later here comes the doberman walking dutifully at the Amish's side. When the owner asked him how he did that he said something like "It's all in your mannerism and how you talk to them"

Anyway, Joe, welcome to you and yours to LCT. It's a pretty nifty group.

Cheers! Ray

Welcome Joe! I lived in Chicago for many years & get back often with DePaul related activities. Not that I'm a Blue Demon fan or anything but I do have bright blue nail polish on as I am typing this note. Summary basketball opening season comments: Women - wow! Men - we've got some work to do.

Hope to meet you on a cruise someday soon. We're very happy with Radisson but I've made up my mind to try Seabourne & Silversea in the the not-too-distant future.

Thanks for the introduction. Cheers, Anne

Hi Joe! I am glad that you found us. Like Marcie, I have yet to sail on Silversea but I will be taking a break from Radisson to take advantage of Silverseas great specials!

If you need help making a Dobie avatar, I would be glad to give you a hand!
