Following TUT cruise, Penny and I play on staying in Venice an extra day and then travel to Paris and spend the night before boarding Avalon Waterways' ship, Creativity for a cruise of the Seine River and Normandy.

In this regard, does anyone have any recommendations for a hotel in Paris? We would prefer something similar to the pricing and accommodations of Magna Grecia & Amazon Hotels in Athens.

Cheers! Ray

Hi.

I have 2 recommendations, both on the left bank.

Hotel des Fleuries, and l'Hotel st. Sulplice. Both are near a metro and both are near a great pasry shop, Gerard Mulot.

Ray, When Al and I were there in December we stayed at the Renaissance Paris Vendome on rue de Mont Tabor. It is a perfect location - very close to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde and the list goes on and on. It's recently renovated and owned by Marriott and a real gem! We've always stayed on the left bank before, but I believe we have been converted!

Hi Kathy & Al:

Thanks so much for adding to the list of considerations.

Believe you have a cruise next month. Perhaps we can gather one day after your return and hear of your adventure.

Cheers! Ray & Penny

Ray.
On "PARIS" they had us at Crowne Plaza Republic Center. We liked it.
Great breakfast in the morning. Best scrambled eggs I have ever had.
There is a restaruant and bar but if you want
to go out there were many to choose from within a 2 to 3 block area. All seemed to have menus with English underneath.
